Rett, an older age teenager wakes up and finds himself in a quarantine-like facility, with no memories of how he got there. The facility turns out to be on an island in the middle of nowhere, and the place itself has nothing but a few backpacks of supplies that he learns to use. He decides to explore and finds a girl named Bryn is there with him. They work together, not sure they fully trust one another, to try and figure out how they got there. Every new discovery seems to lead to a new memory, but they find themselves waking up in the same place they started every time they find out something important. The two of them find out that they have the same background and came from the same orphanage, which help them to remember even more. Rett's out to try and find his mom to help her with her sickness, and Bryn is trying to find her boyfriend to be together with him again. Every step they take leads them closer to a discovery they could never have imagined but also takes them another step away from safety. The two of them must figure out how they got to the island, what their goal is, and how they are going to reach their goal and get off the island. This is a really good book if you're looking for an adventure with plot twists. It's exciting to read, and you really start to bond with the characters and can't wait to see what happens next. You would like this book if you like... adventure, sci-fi, action, mystery, and drama.
