Charmain is asked to house sit for her sick uncle, but--with a wizard for an uncle--this house is full of twists and turns. She meets a dog, a young man, the king, and magical creatures galore. She stumbles upon a bigger plot and gets entangled with every piece of the mystery. Follow her as she discovers the connections between the seemingly unrelated people she meets. I love how this book all ties up at the end. It takes a different take on magic, and the characters are relatable and likeable. It is also a sequel to Howl's Moving Castle, but it follows a different main character. Great book if you're tired of the same old storyline rewritten over and over. You would like this book if you like… fantasy, whodunits, Brandon Sanderson, or A Wrinkle In Time.
