Rudy Baylor is just starting off his career as a lawyer when he comes into possession of a case against a large insurance firm. As a legal rookie, it will take a whole lot of work to get his clients the justice they deserve. This book has a really entertaining protagonist. Even though he seems like a pessimist some of the time, he has some fundamental moral standards that he would do anything to protect. Over the course of the book, he and his clients develop into the honest portrayals of the type of people we see everyday. They are average overall, but when they put their mind to things, they can make a big difference. In addition, a lot of the legal situations in the book are fairly common in the real world, so the story is eye-opening in that way as well. You would like this book if you like… legal dramas, crime novels, suspense, and contemporary fiction.
