National Day of Silence: Friday, April 19, 2013

The National Day of Silence is a day of action in which students across the country vow to take a form of silence to call attention to the silencing effect of anti-LGBT bullying and harassment in schools. This silence not only serves as a memorial to the hundreds of students that have taken their own lives due to anti-LGBT bullying by reminding us of the voices we will never hear again but also challenges us to think of ways to end the silence that often accompanies bullying.
